Blueberry Season 2021 – Last Weekend for You Pick 6/11/21-6/12/21*

We invite you, and your family and friends to make a visit to Makewood Plantation where we encourage you to enjoy the outdoors while picking some fresh blueberries from our fields. We are conveniently located near Houston, Texas and are south of Huntsville, Texas.

You-Pick / U-Pick Blueberries 2021

Unfortunately, the freeze in February came after the bushes flowered, so there will not be a normal crop and it will be limited. After more than a week of rain we have not had a chance to do some field maintenance. Our plan now is to start our limited 2021 blueberry season on Friday, May 28, 2021, and we will be open Memorial Day weekend (Sunday and Monday). Our last weekend for you pick will be Fri. – Sat., June 11 -12, 2021. We have four different varieties of blueberry plants. Some will ripen earlier and some later during the season. Understand that we are at the mercy of the weather, which will effect ripening and picking. This will limit times and availability to pick. We will update our website regularly with the status of the berries, so check back often!

Again, with limited availability our season may be very short and end at a moment’s notice!

Thank you and we look forward to your visit!
